Position
Summary: The Station Manager is responsible for the daily operation of station activity.

Areas of Accountability/
Essential Functions:
Manages all station operations ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with all Company policies and Federal Regulations
Meets goals established by executive management in the Customer Service department
Establishes and maintains local agreements for lodging, meals, car rental, baggage deliveries and kennel arrangements as needed
Ensures all Great Lakes leased areas are clean, organized and maintained to the highest standard; ensures that ground equipment is maintained and operational
Develops and maintains a productive professional business relationship with all Great Lakes Airlines'' vendors; represents the Company professionally at airport board meetings, community events, etc.
Maintains appropriate station staffing levels through efficient recruitment and hiring efforts
Ensures all personnel are proficiently trained in their duties and take responsibilities by working directly with staff; works with the Customer Service Training Department to improve training methods
Complies with all Manager responsibilities described in the General Operations Manuals
Promotes a team spirit among staff, resolves employee relations issues at the station level; ensures all personnel are in Company issued uniform, and uniform is maintained for professional appearance at all times
Holds station meetings and briefings as required to keep staff informed of all Company policies and procedure changes
Conducts employee evaluations, sets performance goals, and addresses performance issues within established guidelines
Completes all required station reports within established deadlines
o Maintains cash and equivalents handled at the station, makes bank deposits as required, and submits monetary reports as required
Communicates to the Director of Security in writing of any security infractions that occur at local station, or of FAA/TSA inspection visits
Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
Ability to interview, select, and train/develop employees
Ability to handle and correct performance issues of employees
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
Ability to work under pressure and meet regular deadlines
Ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written formats
Computer proficiency; use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs
Strong knowledge of Company protocol and operations
Strong knowledge of TSA and FAA regulations

Education/Training/
Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1
year(s) airline experience preferred
1
year(s) management experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, writing, typing, filing, use of standard equipment
Frequent standing, reaching, bending, kneeling/crouching
Frequent public speaking
Standing for up to 4 hours at a time
Working indoors and occasionally outdoors in all types of weather
Noise level may vary from low to high
Occasional to frequent lifting of items weighing up to 25lbs with or without assistance
Ability to work from heights up to 25 feet

Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's License
Minimum 18 years of age
Legally authorize to work in the U.S
Occasional travel required
